From 1954 until the defeat of the Americans in 1975, Ben Hai River marked the division of Viet Nam. The area extended 5km from either side of the river was declared a Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) - a stark contrast to what really took place in this region. In fact, The DMZ was the scene of some of the heaviest and most bitter fighting during the Viet Nam War in the sixties and seventies. Camp Carroll, the Rock pile, Khe Sanh, Hamburger Hill, Con Tien and A Shau Valley are names which still evoke emotions from the American public. Day 1: Hue - Quang Tri - Dong Hoi ( Lunch, Dinner )
Depart from Hue City, transfer to Quang Tri to visit Quang Tri Citadel, Ben Hai River, Hien Luong Bridge. Lunch at Dong Hoi Town.Overnight in Dong Hoi.

Day 2: Dong Hoi – Thien Duong Cave - DMZ - Hue ( Breakfast, Lunch )
Have breakfast at hotel, start visiting Thien Duong Cave. Have lunch at local restaurant. Visit Vinh Moc Tunnel. Return to Hue in the afternoon or transfer to Dong Hoi Airport for flight departure.
